In 2011 alone, more than 2000 people died from skin cancer.
Skin cancer is caused by too much ultraviolet exposure. When in the summer sun for 15 minutes it can cause your skin to burn. Even on cloudy or windy days, you can still burn!
Skin cancer is a disease that can be prevented by following these five steps:
SLIP on protective clothing that covers as much skin as possible
SLOP on some sunscreen
SLAP on a hat
SEEK shade
SLIDE on some sunglasses
